چکیده
Abstract Background Artificial bone graft substitutes (ABGS) for curettage of tumors are becoming increasingly popular. The aim this retrospective analysis was to determine the efficacy ABGS Cerasorb (Curasan-AG, Kleinostheim, Germany), a beta-tricalcium phosphate (beta-TCP), concerning resorption profile, healing, and remodeling after surgery evaluate potential complications. Methods Forty-three patients suffering from benign low-grade malignant were treated with refilling bony cavity using between 2018 2021 included in final analysis. Clinical follow-up exams X-rays two planes performed 6 weeks, 3 months, 1 year surgery. Results After mean period 14.6 radiological consolidation following observed all patients. Total 16.3% patients; other 83.7%, partial. In four patients, whom had tumor distal femur humeral diaphysis, fractures occurred within weeks primary Conclusion conclusion, beta-TCP seems be reliable substitute low complication rates is suitable alternative autologous grafts or allografts. Nonetheless, it shows tendency delayed resorption. Level Evidence III; cohort study.

The Effect of Bone Marrow Graft on Bone Healing: A Radiological and Biomechanical Study
Background: There are multiple methods for acceleration of bone healing. Bone marrow has been shown to contain osteoprogenitor cells. Objective: To determine the effect of percutaneous bone marrow injection on bone healing. Methods: 15 mature, 2-kg-weighing white New Zealand rabbits from both sexes were randomized into 3 groups: Group I: Only osteotomy of right radius was performed and a 5 mm b...
متن کاملBone-grafting and bone-graft substitutes.
Bone grafts are often necessary to provide support, fill voids, and enhance biologic repair of skeletal defects. Autogenous bone recovered from the patient’s own iliac crest is generally considered the gold standard of bone grafts. There is a need for alternatives, however, because of limited autograft quantities, donor site morbidity, and other problems including limited biologic performance. ...

Abstract Patella is a relative uncommon site for chondroblastoma. Most of cases of chondroblastoma in patella reported in literature are treated with patellectomy. We treated a large chondroblastic lesion in patella of an 18- year-old male with curettage, burring & bone graft and the result was satisfactory after 3 years post operation.
متن کاملPictorial Essay Benign and Malignant Bone Tumors: Radiological Diagnosis and Imaging Features
The learning objectives of this review article are to identify benign vs. malignant criteria in bone tumor diagnosis and also to differentiate the types of bone tumors and their characterization. Based on the Lodwick classification an overview of the three main types of bone destruction patterns visible on radiographs will be given with many examples. Typical examples of benign and malignant bo...

Benign bone lesions present a unique challenge to the practicing orthopaedist. They are a not uncommon problem that often present in the pediatric or young adult population. The most common diagnoses include giant cell tumor of bone, aneurysmal bone cysts, unicameral (simple) bone cysts, metaphyseal fibrous defects, and fibrous dysplasia. Appropriate surgical intervention must balance acceptabl...
